Photography: The Art of Seeing | Ages 12-16

Ages 12–16 | Photography • Creativity • Outdoors

Photography is about far more than having the right camera. It’s about learning to notice—light, colour, texture, movement, emotion, and the little details that other people might walk right past.

In The Art of Seeing, youth will explore photography as a creative form of expression. Using whatever camera they have available—from a phone to a digital SLR—they’ll learn how to look at the world with a photographer’s eye and turn what they see into compelling images.

Through hands-on activities and outdoor photo explorations, participants will experiment with composition, perspective, light, framing, and storytelling. They’ll learn how small changes in where they stand, what they include, and how they use light can completely change a photograph.
